This is a vintage Drake ESR 240 Earth Station Receiver, an early piece of satellite television technology manufactured by the R.L. Drake Company. The unit features a professional-grade brushed aluminum faceplate and a metal chassis. The front panel is equipped with an analog signal strength meter calibrated from 0 to 5. Control interfaces include three adjustment knobs for Polarity, Fine Tune, and Audio Tune. Two digital display windows are located on the upper section of the faceplate for channel and format monitoring. On the right side of the panel, there are six rectangular push-buttons labeled Variable/Tune, 6.8, 6.2, Scan, Signal/Program, and Power, the latter accompanied by a red LED indicator. The front panel is marked Drake in the lower-left corner and ESR 240 Earth Station Receiver along the top-left edge. The unit includes its integrated power cord and a yellow paper Quality Control Record Tag.
