
Scout's notes
A mid-century tabletop tube radio produced by the Zenith Radio Corporation of Chicago, Illinois. This model, identified through visual consensus as a C730, features a rectangular wood veneer cabinet with a dark finish. The front of the unit is designed with a large woven textile speaker grille on the left and a vertical slide-rule tuning dial on the right. The tuning dial is protected by a transparent faceplate and features a red indicator needle. Two black control knobs are positioned on the right side for tuning and volume control. The rear of the radio is enclosed by a perforated brown hardboard panel marked with the Zenith lightning bolt logo and manufacturer information. This panel includes a toggle switch for radio or phono selection, a phono input jack, and a stereo speaker output jack. The rear panel also bears the part number S-46210 and a vintage repair service sticker from Bill Lambert Expert Service of Media, Pennsylvania.
