This Kona Luminous Series acoustic-electric guitar features a single-cutaway jumbo body design. The instrument is constructed with a light-colored wood top, likely spruce, finished in natural gloss and accented by multi-ply black and white binding. The back and sides are composed of a dark reddish wood with a vertical grain, characteristic of mahogany or sapele. The fretboard is made of a dark wood, possibly rosewood, and is set with dot position inlays. A distinctive scrolled mustache-style bridge is present, also crafted from dark wood. The soundhole is surrounded by a decorative rosette with a prominent wood inlay featuring a sawtooth geometric pattern. The headstock is finished in a dark veneer and bears the Kona brand name in white script. <BR><BR>The guitar is equipped with an integrated onboard preamp and EQ system mounted on the upper bout. A black resonance-enhancing or feedback-reduction device with metal springs is currently installed in the soundhole. The instrument is identified by an internal paper label as part of the Luminous Series with serial number E-1212410028. Included with the guitar is a white, textured hardshell case with a black plush-lined interior and several guitar picks. Accompanying documentation includes a service receipt from November 2016 detailing professional maintenance including a setup, truss rod adjustment, fret dressing, and saddle work.
